SUNRISE BALLOON FLIGHT & YARRA VALLEY WINE TOUR

Early this morning (6am), a representative of Global Ballooning will pick you up a half hour before sunrise for your Yarra Valley Sunrise Balloon Flight. Please note: It is recommended that you wear clothes as for hiking, including sturdy shoes, warm socks and a cap.

This morning you will travel to Fergusson's Winery, where you will meet your pilot for your sunrise balloon flight. You will then be given a short briefing, while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. Next, you will be transported to the launch site, where you will have the opportunity to help with the launch. You will then take off, drifting gently over the countryside. You'll fly for approximately one hour over the beautiful Yarra Valley and its vineyards, completing the experience with a sumptu+us champagne breakfast back at Fergusson Winery.

Next, a representative of the Australian Wine Tour Company will pick you up for your Yarra Valley Winery Tour. The Yarra Valley is one of the most beautiful and spectacular wine regions in the world, surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges and contrasted with its interior of rolling hills covered in vines. Your first stop of the day is Yering Station Vineyards. You'll start by learning how to swirl, sniff and slurp the wine and then you'll be ready to taste some of Yering Station's award winning benchmark classic Australian wines.

From there it's on to Eyton, which has long been the benchmark for style and class in the Yarra Valley. You will spend some time at the tasting table, which will be a great opportunity to make a wine selection for lunch. Then it is on to the restaurant for a superb lunch while taking in magnificent views. You will then continue on to St. Hubert's Vineyards, which is an ideal place to delve into the fascinating history of the Yarra Valley from the 1830's to today, as it has played a significant role in Victorian Wine making. Finally, it is on to the French Champagne company Moet & Chandon's Australian production house - Domain Chandon. You will enjoy a guided tour through the winery to see how the wine is made, followed by a relaxing glass of Australia's best bubbly with gourmet food platters and a view that will leave you in awe. You will then return to Melbourne, arriving at approximately 5:00pm.

SHIPWRECKS & WILD CLIFFTOPS ECOTOUR

As you leave the city center and restored docklands of Melbourne, the stretching suburbs and Port Phillip Bay can be seen from the top of the Westgate Bridge. Enter the volcanic western plains of Victoria where European settlers forged their way as far as the Otway Ranges, establishing large sheep properties and homesteads. Head into Geelong and the picturesque waterfront overlooking Corio Bay. See the port that was at the center of trade during the famous goldrush era in the 19th century. Cross rich sheep and dairy farmland to the cool temperate rainforests of the Otway Ranges National Park. Your guide will share stories of the dinosaurs and mega fauna that roamed this ancient land, and how their fossils leave clues as to how they survived in the dark forests 100 million years ago.

The lush valleys in the rainforest have protected old trees from several wildfires including the infamous Ash Wednesday Black Friday Fires. Enjoy a café styled lunch at Port Campbell while you breathe the fresh clear air that rises from the southern oceans. A short drive will take you to the Shipwreck Coast bringing tales of heroes and follies, as many ships have floundered along this wild coastline. View the 12 apostles ocean rock formations from the coastal boardwalk. Visit the shipwreck site "Loch Ard" where two survivors struggled ashore amidst the wreckage. Enter the beach cave where they sheltered and recuperated before alerting nearby settlers. Return to Melbourne. (8am - 6pm)
